Jason Hoang came to Fresno from San Francisco and made it look like a training run. His 33:32 — 5:24 per mile for 6.2 miles — was a full 2:24 faster than anyone else in a men's field of 193. That kind of margin doesn't just win races; it reframes them. The rest of the field was essentially competing for the remaining podium spots.

And what a podium it turned out to be. Andrew Jones, just 17 years old and racing on home turf in Fresno, ran 35:56 at 5:47/mi to take 2nd — a performance that would turn heads at any age. Behind him, 63-year-old Michael Moffett posted 39:55 at 6:25/mi to claim 3rd, finishing comfortably clear of the chase pack. The gap between 2nd and 3rd was nearly four minutes, but Moffett's age makes his podium finish one of the more striking results of the day.

The battle for 4th was the tightest of the top ten. Christian Rosas (41:48, 6:44/mi) held off Brian Kiler (41:54, 6:45/mi) by just six seconds. Further back, 12-year-old L. Olvera finished 6th in 43:35 at 7:01/mi — one of the youngest finishers in the field and already outrunning most adults. Emiliano Kaptain rounded out the top seven at 43:42, just seven seconds behind Olvera. The top 20 spanned a 16-minute range from Hoang's 33:32 down to Joseph Ram's 49:41, a snapshot of the broad, competitive depth that filled out the rest of the 193-man field.
