Ellie Nickel, just 15 years old, turned in the dominant performance of the F15-19 age group, crossing in 57:41 at a 9:17/mi clip. That was nearly seven minutes clear of second place — a margin that made the outcome feel settled long before the finish line. She was the only runner in the group to finish under an hour, and she did it coming in from Auburn, racing on unfamiliar Fresno streets.

Behind Nickel, the real competition played out between three 17-year-olds. Sonya Bangar of Fresno finished 2nd in 1:04:37 (10:24/mi), with her fellow Fresnan Zeena Bangar — same last name, same age — taking 3rd in 1:09:05 (11:07/mi). Ellie Sano of Madera was right on Zeena's heels, finishing 4th in 1:10:56 (11:25/mi), just 1:51 back. That trio ran a genuinely competitive race within a race.

Rounding out the field, Leslie Manzano of Madera came home 5th in 1:12:26 (11:39/mi), followed by her Madera teammate Briana Alicia Manzano Garcia in 6th at 1:26:08 (13:52/mi). Sofia Frias of Fresno closed out the age group in 7th, finishing in 1:43:23 at a 16:38/mi pace — more than 45 minutes after Nickel had already crossed the line.
