Two Cities Marathon 10K — M75-79: Borjas Claims the Age Group

• Ed Borjas won the M75-79 group in 1:20:02 (12:53/mi), outpacing his only rival by more than 16 minutes.
• Jerry Ferdolage finished 2nd in 1:36:32 (15:32/mi), completing the two-man M75-79 field.

Just two men lined up in the M75-79 age group at the Two Cities Marathon 10K, but they made it count. Ed Borjas of Clovis crossed the line in 1:20:02, averaging 12:53 per mile to take the age-group win — a commanding effort at 75 years old on the streets of Fresno.

Fresno's own Jerry Ferdolage came home in 1:36:32, averaging 15:32 per mile to claim 2nd. The gap between them — just over 16 and a half minutes — reflects two very different paces on the day, with Borjas running nearly 2:40 per mile faster than Ferdolage. Still, finishing a 10K at 75 is no small thing, and both men saw it through to the finish line.
