Two Cities Marathon 10K — F35-39: Rodriguez Runs Away With It

• Alexi Rodriguez won the F35-39 age group in 45:06 (7:15/mi) — more than three minutes clear of the field.
• Jacqueline Schiemer claimed 2nd in 48:10 (7:45/mi), the only other finisher under 50 minutes.
• Places 3–5 were decided within 79 seconds: Patty Molina 3rd in 51:57, Katie Johnson 4th in 52:37, Maria Lopez 5th in 53:16.
• 50 women finished in the F35-39 age group, with Kimberly Tucker and Ashley Yetter sharing the same displayed time of 1:07:32 for 19th and 20th — timing placing Tucker one spot back.

Alexi Rodriguez, 37, of Fresno, turned the F35-39 age group into a one-woman show. Her 45:06 at 7:15/mi was a full 3:04 ahead of anyone else in the field — a margin that speaks less to a close race than to a runner operating on a different level entirely. Schiemer's 48:10 was a genuinely strong run in its own right, but Rodriguez was already cooling down by the time the gap closed.

Behind Schiemer, the race got interesting. Patty Molina (3rd, 51:57), Katie Johnson (4th, 52:37), and Maria Lopez (5th, 53:16) were locked in a tight three-way contest across the 8:22–8:34/mi range, with just 79 seconds separating all three at the line. Laura Dotta (6th, 54:52), Brianna Bruce (7th, 55:31), and Cheryl Aleman (8th, 55:47) formed another tight cluster, the three of them finishing within 55 seconds of each other.

Further back, the race produced its own suspense around the sub-hour barrier. Tran Nguyen and Krisann Bryant both crossed in 59:24 — timing data separating them into 10th and 11th — while Brittanny Zweigle (12th, 59:41) and Araceli Correa (13th, 59:59) just made it under the hour mark. For 50 finishers spread across the Central Valley and beyond, the F35-39 age group delivered a dominant winner and plenty of racing behind her.
