Two Cities Marathon 10K — F60-64: Debra Hall Dominates on Home Turf

• Debra Hall wins in 57:18 (9:13/mi), finishing more than 10 minutes ahead of runner-up Rio Waller (1:07:41) — a commanding margin in a 12-woman F60-64 field.

Debra Hall, 61, made the F60-64 race her own from the start. Her 57:18 finish at a 9:13/mi clip wasn't just a win — it was a statement, putting more than 10 minutes of daylight between herself and the rest of the field. Fellow Fresnan Rio Waller claimed second in 1:07:41 (10:54/mi), and Maria Toles rounded out the podium in 1:12:57 (11:44/mi). That's a gap of nearly 15 minutes from first to third, which tells you just how thoroughly Hall controlled this race.

The middle of the field produced the afternoon's most compelling racing. Dora Papion (4th, 1:27:23) crossed ahead of a three-way cluster fighting over 5th through 7th: Anabella Duka at 1:29:54, Jan Forbes at 1:30:49, and Cheryl Kinoshita at 1:35:00. Duka, at 64 the oldest finisher in the group, held off Forbes by 55 seconds — no small feat with Forbes running a 14:37/mi pace close behind.

Down in 9th and 10th, Jennifer Santana-Fox and Patty Flores ran essentially side by side the entire way, finishing in 1:43:50 and 1:43:53 respectively — three seconds after 6.2 miles. Jennie Cecchini came in 11th at 1:44:19, just 26 seconds further back. Maria Torralba, making the longest journey to the race from Virginia Beach, VA, completed the field in 1:59:11 — crossing the line and earning every second of that finish.
