Monica Neilson made the F65-69 race look straightforward, running 8:11 per mile through Sacramento's pleasant Memorial Day morning — 68°F with a steady 14 mph breeze — to claim the top spot by 1:28 over Bonita Malone. Her movement among the women's field told an interesting story: she dipped briefly to 70th after the first mile before surging back to 65th by the halfway mark, where she locked in and held firm to the finish. Her second-half split ranked 66th among all women, a strong close that sealed the win.

Malone was the most consistent climber in the group, moving from 89th among women at mile one all the way to 82nd by the finish, with her best relative work coming on that final mile-to-finish segment.
