Tami Ribeiro of Kingsburg delivered the dominant performance of the F45-49 age group, crossing in 27:39 at 8:54/mi — a pace that left the field well behind from the jump. At 49 years old, she ran nearly a minute and a half clear of anyone else in the group, which is a statement in a 5K where margins are usually measured in seconds.

Behind her, Fresno's Kathryn Ross (29:18) and Coarsegold's Stephanie Alaniz (29:29) ran a genuine race within a race for the silver and bronze.
