Two Cities 5K: S. Wall leads a front-pack sweep in the Girls 14-and-Under

The two 11-year-olds from Fresno occupied the top two spots, making it a hometown 1-2 to open the results.

Right behind them, Noelle Frantz (13, Clovis) claimed 3rd in 20:35, while the Correa duo — Alessandra and Abigail, both 13, both from Fresno — ran nearly stride for stride to finish 4th and 5th in 20:45. After that tight five-pack up front, the field spread out considerably. F. Vargas (6th, 24:29) led a second cluster through the mid-field, with S. Khwaja (7th, 24:38) and C. Shyn (8th, 24:41) separated by just 12 seconds in a compact chase group of their own. Further back, C. Parnagian (9th in age, 12th overall in the group) ran 27:33 at just 9 years old, and G. Paz — only 8 — covered the 5K in 29:36 to finish 15th among 48 girls. At any age, finishing a 5K is worth celebrating; at 8, it's something else entirely.
