Two Cities 5K — F25-29: Cameron runs away with it

• Breton Cameron (1st, 21:12) won the F25-29 age group at a 6:49/mi clip — nearly four minutes clear of the field.
• Lisette Maciel (2nd, 25:07) held second place comfortably, finishing 2:17 ahead of the third-place finisher.
• Birgitta Eggertsdottir (3rd, 27:24) and sarah ramirez (4th, 29:00) were separated by 1:36, while Paige Jano (5th, 29:44) and Camille Agarin (6th, 29:45) finished just one second apart in a near-dead-heat battle for fifth.
• 74 women finished in the F25-29 age group, with times ranging from 21:12 to well past the 35-minute mark.

Breton Cameron, 26, from Fresno, turned in a dominant performance in the F25-29 age group, crossing in 21:12 at a 6:49/mi pace. That's a margin of 3:55 over second place — a gap that tells you this race was decided early and decisively. On a 5K course, nearly four minutes is a different race entirely.

Behind Cameron, Lisette Maciel of Modesto ran a solid 25:07 (8:05/mi) to claim second, finishing well clear of the chase pack. Birgitta Eggertsdottir of Clovis secured third in 27:24 (8:49/mi), and the battle for fourth and fifth brought some genuine drama: sarah ramirez (29:00) and Paige Jano (29:44) were separated by 44 seconds, but Jano and Camille Agarin behind her were locked in a real fight — Agarin's 29:45 left just one second between fifth and sixth place.

Further back, the mid-pack was tightly bunched. Felise Bloodgood (11th, 32:39), Audi Martinez (9th, 32:30), and Jordyn Gonzalez (10th, 32:37) were all within nine seconds of each other around the 32-minute mark. And from 12th through 17th place, six runners finished between 33:36 and 34:07 — a span of just 31 seconds across six athletes, making that stretch one of the most competitive clusters in the entire age group.
