Daniel Anderson made his mark early and held it. The 41-year-old from Redwood City sat 6th among all men at the 10K mark and was still 6th at the finish — a wire-to-wire display of control at 6:07/mi. Jason Dudley of Hanford matched that steadiness, holding 7th among men from the 10K onward and crossing in 1:20:41, just 30 seconds back. These two ran the entire back half of the race in lockstep positionally, but Anderson's 6:07 pace to Dudley's 6:09 tells the real story — Anderson was the stronger finisher.

Third place belonged to Cedric Clotilde (45, Fairview), who ran the most aggressive second half of anyone in the top five. Sitting 13th among men at the 10K, he surged to 10th by the finish in 1:21:48 — the 6th-fastest closing split among men in the field. He didn't catch Dudley, but he closed the gap significantly and cemented the podium with a well-earned 1:21:48.

The battle for 4th and 5th was a tale of two very different second halves. George Di Martino (56, Fresno) held 9th among men through 10K but faded to 14th by the finish, crossing in 1:24:00. Gerald Ireland (43, Fresno) was steady throughout — 15th among men at the 10K, 15th at the line in 1:24:25 — and that consistency was nearly enough to run Di Martino down. Just 25 seconds separated them at the finish. Beyond the top five, Carlos Cortez (6th, 1:28:00) through David Adams (10th, 1:34:05) rounded out a competitive top ten in a Masters Men field of 261 finishers.
