• Haley Charnow faded over the final stretch, dropping 53 places among women to finish 4th in 2:23:31, while Natalie Britt closed stronger, gaining 29 spots to finish 5th in 2:24:41 — just 1:10 behind Charnow.

Six teenagers toed the line in F15-19 at the Two Cities Half Marathon, and the story was written early and emphatically by the youngest in the group. Julia Ganzenhuber, just 15 years old and from Fresno, crossed in 1:45:04 at an 8:01/mi clip — a commanding performance that put her more than 11 minutes clear of the field. She didn't just hold steady either; she turned the screws in the second half, posting the 15th-fastest women's split on the 10K→Finish segment among all women and climbing from 29th to 19th among women overall. For a 15-year-old, that's a serious showing.

Ariana Gil of Porterville ran a composed race to claim 2nd in 1:56:29 (8:53/mi), also gaining ground in the women's field over the final stretch — moving from 68th to 59th among women with the 63rd-fastest women's split on 10K→Finish. Behind her, Maryn Wells of Clovis made the most eye-catching late move in the group, vaulting 45 places among women on that same closing segment to finish 3rd in 2:14:22.

The battle for 4th and 5th played out between two Clovis runners and a Bakersfield one. Haley Charnow, 17, came through the first half in solid position but faded on the 10K→Finish segment, dropping 53 spots among women to finish 4th in 2:23:31. Natalie Britt, 16, went the other direction — gaining 29 places among women in the back half to finish 5th in 2:24:41, just 1:10 behind Charnow. Adamira Mariscal of Reedley rounded out the F15-19 field in 2:51:56.
