Evelyn Sue Sharwood of Fresno made the F65-69 race her own from start to finish. Her 1:09:37 at 11:12/mi wasn't just a win — it was a commanding one, with more than ten and a half minutes separating her from second place. Her closing segment told the same story: she posted the 116th-fastest women's split on the 1M→Finish stretch and moved up 25 spots in the women's field in the process, the only F65-69 finisher running down competitors rather than being passed in the late miles.

Behind Sharwood, Clovis neighbors Anabella Duka and Roycelyn Griffin waged the race's closest battle. Duka, 65, crossed in 1:20:36 (12:58/mi) for 2nd, while Griffin, 69, finished 3rd in 1:23:31 (13:26/mi) — a gap of just under three minutes over 10 kilometers. Notably, Griffin actually ran a stronger closing mile, moving up from 253rd to 228th among women on that final segment, while Duka drifted from 190th to 208th. The gap between them was established earlier; Griffin simply couldn't close it in time.

JoAnn Snell of Madera rounded out the group in 4th with a time of 1:45:57 at 17:03/mi. Her closing segment saw her move from 333rd to 354th among women, a fade that reflected a tough final stretch. Still, she crossed the line and completed a four-woman F65-69 field that ranged across four years of age — from Duka at 65 to Griffin at 69 — and delivered a decisive champion in Sharwood.
