Running 4:49 per mile across five miles of coastal roads in 62°F and a 9 mph breeze, the Brighton, MA 27-year-old led the men's field from the opening miles through the finish tape, never once ceding that position. Connor Moses of Mechanicsville, VA gave chase as well as anyone could, clocking 25:08 at a 5:03/mi clip and sitting 2nd among the men at every checkpoint.
