Shamrock 8K F35-39: Tyndall Dominates in Virginia Beach

• Amanda Tyndall (37, Erie, CO) won the F35-39 group in 28:15 — a 5:41/mi pace that put her 2nd among all women in the field.
• The winning margin was enormous: Tyndall finished more than four minutes ahead of runner-up Bailey Wilson (32:20), one of the widest gaps on the podium all morning.
• Wilson held steady throughout: She ran the 2nd-to-4th-mile stretch as the 6th-fastest women's split in the field, locking in 2nd in F35-39 from start to finish.
• Tight battle for 6th–7th: Cherie Davis (37:31) and Jordan Cockrille (37:34) — both Virginia Beach locals — were separated by just three seconds at the line.

Amanda Tyndall made this one look easy. The 37-year-old from Erie, Colorado, crossed in 28:15 — a 5:41-per-mile clip that was good for 2nd among all women on the course. She held that position from the opening miles through the finish, never wavering, and backed it up with the 2nd-fastest women's split on the 2M–4M stretch. In a 506-woman F35-39 field, that kind of dominance is rare.

Behind her, Bailey Wilson (36, Washington, DC) was the clear class of the rest of the group, finishing in 32:20 at a 6:30/mi pace. Like Tyndall, Wilson was a picture of consistency — 6th among women at every checkpoint tracked, and 6th-fastest among women on the middle miles. Ashley Craig (37, Lynchburg, VA) rounded out the podium in 34:36, holding 11th among women throughout.

The race for 4th and 5th produced the morning's closest finish in the F35-39 group. Rebecca Parker (36, Norfolk, VA) came in at 36:28 and Alissa Savage-Paul (38, Stafford, VA) at 36:30 — two seconds apart after nearly 37 minutes of racing. Both ran nearly identical 7:20–7:21/mi averages and matched each other step-for-step on the middle segment as well, finishing 20th and 21st among women respectively.

Further back, the local Virginia Beach contingent made its presence felt. Davis, Cockrille, and DeMarco — all Virginia Beach residents — occupied 6th through 8th in F35-39, finishing within 28 seconds of each other between 37:31 and 37:59. With 506 finishers in the age group, the depth here was real, and those three made the most of their home course.
