That 9-second gap is tight enough that a slightly different second half could have reshuffled the podium. Jack Strumke, also 15, rounded out the top four in 30:42, running 6:11 per mile — a strong showing from the youngest cohort in the group.

The 5th-through-7th battle brought its own intrigue. Jaxon Sykes crossed in 33:01, and then — within the span of six seconds — Jayce Joyner (33:06) and Ezra Locke (33:07) came home back-to-back, both representing Suffolk, VA. One second separated them at the line, with their places decided by the clock's finest measurement.

Further back, Andrew Mauck and Luca Martinez Segeth posted identical displayed times of 35:52 and 35:54 respectively in 13th and 14th, while Cj Kemp and Christopher Martin both showed 38:31 to close out the visible top 20 — their order settled by timing precision alone.
