Two Cities Marathon 5K — F30-34: Lopez Runs Away With It

• Geleeza Lopez won the F30-34 age group in 24:46 (7:58/mi), finishing nearly 2:40 ahead of the field.
• Krystal Alexander was the clear runner-up in 27:26 (8:50/mi), more than 4:30 ahead of 3rd place.
• Corrina Delgado (31:57) and Angelica Montanez (32:10) were separated by just 13 seconds for 3rd and 4th.
• 49 women finished in the F30-34 age group, with the top 20 ranging from 24:46 down to 39:46.

Geleeza Lopez, 31, from Del Rey, didn't just win the F30-34 age group — she dominated it. Her 7:58/mi average put her in a class of her own, crossing in 24:46 while the rest of the field was still well into its second mile. The gap to runner-up Krystal Alexander was a commanding 2:40, which in a 5K is a statement, not a margin.

Alexander, 34, from Clovis, was equally authoritative in her own right. Her 27:26 (8:50/mi) was a comfortable 4:31 clear of third place — meaning the top two essentially raced in their own zip code, with the rest of the field bunched behind them. Corrina Delgado (31:57) held off fellow Fresnan Angelica Montanez (32:10) by 13 seconds for the final podium spot, with Cruz Madridal Trejo (33:19) and Cassandra Philip (34:00) rounding out the top six.

The middle of the pack produced some tight racing. Alejandra Yepéz (34:13), Jasmin Garcia (34:18), Vanessa Martinez (35:02), and Navjeet Uppal (35:06) were all within about a minute of each other across 7th through 10th. Navjeet and Julia Uppal — both 31, both from Fresno — finished back-to-back in 10th and 11th, separated by just two seconds (35:06 and 35:08).
