Olivia Becerril made the F16-18 race her own from the start. The 17-year-old from West Sacramento crossed in 53:57 at 8:41 per mile — a pace that left the rest of the age group well behind and carried her to 35th among women at the halfway point before she settled to 40th by the finish, a reflection of the field's depth rather than any fade on her part. Her 5K-to-finish split ranked 48th among all women, a strong close that underlined just how comfortably she commanded this race.

Behind her, Olivia Dovey of Fair Oaks finished a distant second in 1:07:14, crossing at 10:49 per mile — a gap of over 13 minutes to the winner. Dovey ran her own race, and while the margin to Becerril was large, she secured the runner-up spot without serious challenge.

The real drama in this four-woman field unfolded at the back of the podium. Aanya Sanjay of San Jose and Rithika Bhat of Rocklin were inseparable for nearly the entire 6.2 miles, both averaging 12:46 per mile. When it mattered, Sanjay crossed the line in 1:19:21 to claim 3rd, with Bhat finishing in 1:19:22 — one second back, one place behind. Their 5K-to-finish splits ranked 660th and 661st among women respectively, meaning they were running stride for stride to the very end. Sanjay got it; Bhat just missed.
