M15-19: Adam Woolheater runs away from the field

• Woolheater wins by 3:57 — his 18:36 (5:59/mi) was the only sub-20-minute finish in the M15-19 group.
• Timar and Alnadi battle for the podium — just one second separated 2nd-place Ethan Timar (22:33) from 3rd-place Hamza Alnadi (22:34).
• Two 15-year-olds crack the top six — Mar'shaun Lashley (4th, 23:04) and Ryan Bixler (6th, 23:35) held their own against a field dominated by 18- and 19-year-olds.

Adam Woolheater made the M15-19 race his own from the start. The 16-year-old from Remsen, NY crossed in 18:36 at a 5:59/mi clip — a full 3 minutes and 57 seconds ahead of anyone else in the group. In a 5K, that's not a gap, it's a statement. With 67°F temperatures, stiff 15 mph winds, and 83% humidity pressing down on Cleveland, Woolheater's sub-19-minute effort stands out all the more.

Behind him, the race for 2nd was decided by the finest of margins. Ethan Timar of Brunswick and Hamza Alnadi of Medina — both 19 — were inseparable, finishing in 22:33 and 22:34 respectively. One second covered both of them; Timar holds 2nd on the strength of the timing clock, and Alnadi takes the bronze. Given the conditions, both can be satisfied with a 7:15–7:16/mi effort.

The next tier produced its own intrigue. Mar'shaun Lashley, just 15 years old, slotted into 4th at 23:04 and outran a cluster of older teenagers to do it. Ryan Bixler, also 15, added another strong showing at 6th (23:35), sandwiching 19-year-old Bilal Awadallah (5th, 23:19) in between. Will Archacki (7th, 23:48) and Omar Abbass (8th, 23:54) rounded out a tight mid-pack where just 50 seconds separated 4th through 8th place — five runners packed into under a minute on a humid Cleveland morning.
