Agnieszka Kwiatkowska of Whitesboro put on a clinic. Her 7:48/mi average wasn't just fast — it was a full 23 seconds per mile quicker than runner-up Sara Groh's 8:11/mi, a gap that compounded into a 1:10 winning margin by the finish line. At 48, Kwiatkowska ran away from a 186-woman field and never looked back.

Behind her, Groh (25:24) and Theresa Price (25:44) staged the race's most compelling battle, with Price, 47, out of Baldwinsville, closing to within 20 seconds of 2nd place. Fourth and fifth were a genuine photo finish in their own right: Lesley Krol and Karen Pauley, both from New Hartford, crossed in 26:21 and 26:22 — one second apart after more than three miles of racing. Krol held the edge, but just barely.

The next cluster kept things interesting too. Casey Obernesser (6th, 26:34) and Darcie Harris (7th, 26:35) finished one second apart, followed by Kathleen Arthurs in 8th (26:43) and Jennifer Logue in 9th (26:52). Kristen Harrell rounded out the top 10 in 27:00, with Marlo Giovinazzo (11th, 27:14) and Maria Christopher (12th, 27:18) keeping the pressure on through the finish chute. The F45-49 field proved that the competition doesn't thin out after the podium — it just keeps coming.
