Dorcas Huang made this one look straightforward. The 32-year-old from Philadelphia crossed in 18:04 at a 5:49/mi clip — a full minute clear of everyone else in a field of 245. That kind of margin doesn't happen by accident; it requires running away from the competition early and never letting up over 3.1 miles of humid morning air.

Behind her, Ashley Rathbun's story deserves its own spotlight. The Westfield, NJ runner finished 2nd in F30-34 last year in 20:30 — and came back in 2026 to run 19:05, a 90-second improvement on the same course. She didn't just defend her podium spot; she earned it with a genuinely faster race. At 6:09/mi, she was in a different gear than the rest of the field chasing her.

The battle for the final podium spot was the race's sharpest subplot. Katherine Nachbar (Pittsburgh) and Courtney Bevard (Manlius, NY) ran nearly inseparable through to the finish, with Nachbar taking 3rd in 22:27 and Bevard 4th in 22:31 — four seconds the difference after 5K.
