Olivia Renfro, 22, from San Francisco, owned this age group from wire to wire. Her 13th-fastest women's split on the opening mile-to-10K stretch helped her build the cushion she'd carry the rest of the way.

Behind her, Risa Reynier of Fresno told a different story. The 20-year-old ran the early miles conservatively — sitting 24th among women at the first checkpoint — before steadily reeling in competitors. Her 18th-fastest women's split from 10K to the finish powered her to 2nd in 1:41:33, a 7:45/mi effort that made her the most dangerous finisher in the back half of the race.

The battle for 3rd through 5th was tight and telling. Rebecca Fonbah (3rd, 1:46:42) held her position steadily, posting the 30th-fastest women's split on the first half of the course. But Isabella Segarra was on the move — she was as far back as 51st among women at the mile mark, yet relentlessly worked her way forward to finish 4th in 1:47:04. Alexandra Kaminsky (5th, 1:47:18) ran a consistent race but couldn't quite hold off Segarra, who edged her by 14 seconds after making up significant ground.

Further back, Kennady Davis (6th, 1:48:31) and Dexire Adame (7th, 1:51:00) rounded out the top half of the listed field, while Yareli and Valeria Palacio — both 22, both from Visalia — crossed within two seconds of each other in 15th (2:00:49) and 16th (2:00:51), a detail that nearly overshadowed the fact that 54 women finished this age group in total.
