Connie Allen, 35, from Verona, NJ, rounded out the podium in 20:59 (6:45/mi), making it a three-woman lead group that separated decisively from the chase pack.

The race for 4th and 5th was the closest battle of the day. Gianna Giruzzi (21:16, 6:51/mi) held off Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (21:17, 6:51/mi) by a single second — the two running at the same average pace but Giruzzi getting to the line first. Isla Langsdorf followed in 6th at 21:24, and then Keelyn Simpson (21:43) and Mia Rugari (21:47) kept the pressure on through 8th place.

One of the more striking storylines in this women's field is the sheer youth of the top performers. Rugari (14th overall among women) and Jules Eisenhut — both 14 years old — cracked the top ten in a field of over 2,000 on a hot, humid July afternoon. Kylie Murray, 15, was right behind them in 9th at 22:08, and 16-year-old Keelyn Simpson was 7th at 21:43. Whatever was in the water in Central New York, the young runners made the most of it.
