Alan Lockett (1:12:15) and Robert Deming (1:12:47) kept the pressure on through the back half, while Ish Morales and Gig Elliott finished 7th and 8th in 1:13:25 and 1:13:27 respectively — two seconds apart after covering 9.3 miles together. Steven Palmer (9th, 1:14:48) and Patrick Huther (10th, 1:15:51) completed a top ten that held remarkably tight across the board, a testament to the depth of the M65-69 field on a day when the air itself was working against every one of them.
