Tammy Slusser of Monroeville, PA ran a composed, measured 7:52/mi to claim the F60-64 title in 1:43:08. Her movement through the women's field tells a straightforward story — she settled in and held her position, never dramatically surging but never fading either. Melanie Hennis of Portsmouth, VA had a very different journey to that 1:43:33 second-place finish: she was 156th among women at the 5K mark and was still 143rd at 10K, but by 15K she had climbed to 123rd, and she ultimately finished 120th among women. That's a sustained, powerful second half that nearly erased a 25-second deficit — but Slusser had built just enough of a cushion to hold on.

The battle for third was tight and tense. Leslie Harrison (1:54:07, 8:42/mi) and Michelle Barrick (1:54:28, 8:44/mi) were separated by only 21 seconds at the finish, though their trajectories through the women's field diverged sharply — Harrison drifted back steadily through the race, while Barrick's position also slid as the miles accumulated. Katherine Zampolin rounded out the top five in 1:55:37 (8:49/mi), running a remarkably consistent race — her position among women barely shifted from start to finish, hovering right around 380th–401st throughout.

Further back, a cluster of finishers in the 2:04–2:06 range made for a lively mid-pack battle. Phyllis Kampmeyer (7th, 2:04:11), Wanda Toro (8th, 2:04:30), and Andrea Clappsy (9th, 2:05:46) were separated by just 95 seconds across three places. Ann Mahar of Virginia Beach — racing on home turf — finished 10th in 2:06:47. With 117 more finishers beyond the top 20, the F60-64 field at Shamrock proved to be one of the deepest and most competitive of the day.
