The U-19 boys field at Run the Parkway was a compact two-man affair, but both athletes delivered real performances worth noting. Aryav Sarkar, a 15-year-old from Folsom running on home turf, controlled the race from the front, posting a 7:54/mi average to finish in 1:43:30. He moved efficiently through the men's field across the race, and on the Mile 4–Mile 10 stretch he posted the 14th-fastest split in that segment among the men — a sign he was running with genuine purpose through the middle miles, not just surviving the warm morning.

Toby Scott's story deserves its own spotlight. At just 11 years old, the Wilton native covered 13.1 miles in 2:53:26 — a 13:14/mi pace that held together over a half marathon distance on a 74°F day. That's not a small thing. He steadily moved through the men's field from Mile 4 onward, ticking up places in the closing stretch, and he finished. For a runner still years away from his physical prime, simply toeing the line at this distance is the headline.
