Running on a warm November morning in Folsom — 74°F with humidity hovering near 60% — the F20-24 group of seven told a story of one dominant performance and a handful of very different trajectories. Addie Payne, just 20 years old out of Shingle Springs, was locked into 7th among all women from the earliest checkpoint and never wavered. She held that position all the way through the Mile 4–Mile 10 stretch, where she posted the 7th-fastest women's split on that segment, and delivered a wire-to-wire win at 7:56 per mile.

Behind her, Tiffany Cam provided the group's most compelling subplot. Starting back in 17th among women, the Sacramento 24-year-old had clearly gone out conservatively — or simply found her legs mid-race. By the Mile 4–Mile 10 segment she had charged up to 11th among women, eventually settling into 12th at the tape. Her 8:36/mi average and 1:52:42 finish earned her a clear 2nd in the age group, nearly nine minutes back of Payne but a comfortable margin ahead of the field.

Maeve Mahoney's consistency was its own kind of performance — moving only two spots among women across the entire race to finish 3rd in 1:58:14. Ashley Slavin and Barbara Urdaneta rounded out the top five, though Slavin's fade from 11th to 21st among women across the back half suggests the heat may have taken a toll. Addisyn Allen and Bella Delmundo completed the seven-finisher group, with Delmundo's 2:47:35 — nearly 31 minutes behind Allen — closing out the F20-24 race.
