Jonah Weeks, 35, from West Sacramento, made the F35-39 race her own from the outset. Running at 7:31 per mile — a pace nobody else in the group came close to matching — she crossed in 1:38:33 and held a steady 5th place among all women throughout, never wavering. Her final push from Mile 10 to the finish was the 4th-fastest women's split in that segment, a sign she wasn't coasting to the line. The gap to second place was nearly 23 minutes, which tells the whole story.

Behind her, Jessica Trevisan, 39, of Sacramento turned in the most dynamic race in the group. Starting 24th among women, she steadily worked her way up to 17th by the finish, running 2:01:24 at a 9:16/mi clip. Her 13th-fastest women's split on the Mile 10-to-Finish segment showed she was still accelerating late — a strong closer in warm 74°F conditions.

The battle for the podium's final two spots was the race's most compelling subplot. Rebecca Bestoso (2:03:47) edged out Alina Nikiforova (2:04:34) by 47 seconds for 3rd, though their stories diverged. Bestoso had moved up to 15th among women early before settling back to 19th, while Nikiforova — who started 26th among women — kept climbing steadily to finish 20th, posting the 19th-fastest women's split on the second half of the course.

Elen Lee rounded out the top five in 2:10:20, continuing to move through the women's field all the way to 29th by the finish. With 21 finishers completing the F35-39 race on a warm November morning in Folsom, it was a full and competitive group — even if Weeks made the top of it look unchallenged.
