In a two-person showdown under warm November skies — 74°F with just a whisper of wind — Gia Lee of Davis made her advantage count from the opening miles. Running at 12:11 per mile, the 19-year-old built a lead that only widened as the race wore on, crossing the line in 2:39:39 to claim the F1-19 title outright.

Behind her, 14-year-old Carole Scott of Wilton showed real grit to cover the full 13.1 miles at 14:14 per mile, finishing in 3:06:29. At her age, simply toeing the start line of a half marathon is a statement, and she saw it through to the finish.
