On a humid July morning in Utica — 75°F and 90% humidity with barely a breath of wind — Veronica Loleo of Voorthuizen made it look straightforward. She sat 1st among women at every checkpoint, never relinquishing the lead, and backed up her position with substance: her 5K–10K split was the fastest among all women in the field. At 5:19/mi over 15 kilometers in those conditions, it was a commanding performance that claimed the F25–29 title by 47 seconds.

Behind her, the race for the podium was anything but settled. Rachael Chebet, 29, of New York ran a composed 50:23 (5:24/mi), sitting 4th among women at every split — a model of consistency that earned her 2nd in the group. But Jessie Cardin, 29, of Lake Orion was the story of the closing miles. Running 7th among women at 10K, she unleashed the 3rd-fastest women's split from 10K to the finish, climbing all the way to 5th among women overall — and 3rd in the F25–29 field at 50:27. Those four seconds between Chebet and Cardin were the tightest margin of the day, with Cardin making up real ground on the back half while Chebet held her pace.

Megan Hasz (51:54, 5:34/mi) rounded out the top five, finishing 5th, while Kasandra Parker's 52:14 put her 6th — a full two minutes clear of Gabrielle Orie in 7th (54:45). The remaining 583 finishers in the F25–29 field filled out one of the largest age-group contests of the morning, with times ranging deep into the hour mark and beyond.
