Hailey Villa ran a different kind of race. She came through earlier checkpoints 29th among women before fading to 43rd by the finish — but her 26:29 was still a clear second in the age group, and she held off a hard-charging back half of the field to secure the runner-up spot. Behind her, the drama was all in the decimals: Abigail Lee and Riley Biondi crossed the line in what looked identical on the clock at 9:31 per mile, but the timing system split them by six hundredths of a second, with Lee taking 3rd and Biondi 4th.

The depth of this age group was genuinely impressive for a local 5K on a warm May morning. Seven-year-old Riley Biondi finishing 4th overall in the group — ahead of 21 older competitors — was one of the quiet standouts of the day. Mazie Sneddon rounded out the top five in 30:19, with Eleanor Glidewell, Laurel Smith, and Alexandra Ravel keeping the pack tight through the middle of the field.
