Lucie Murray of Burbank made the F50-54 race her own, crossing in 1:44:36 at a 7:59/mi clip — the only finisher in the field under 1:45. What makes the win even more compelling is how she built it. Murray spent much of the middle miles hovering around 56th–61st among all women, then flipped a switch: a scorching 10.26M→10.5M split — 16th-fastest among women in the entire race — vaulted her from 61st to eventually 31st among women by the tape. She didn't just hold on; she hunted.

Kari Richmond of West Bloomfield, MI ran a strong 1:50:36 (8:26/mi) for second, and her trajectory told its own story — she charged from 214th among women near the start all the way to 82nd by the finish, including the 66th-fastest women's split on the 4M→6M segment. She was moving, but Murray was moving faster when it counted.

The fight for the final podium spot was the race's sharpest drama. Alyssum Barber (Central Point, OR) and Yuan Yuan (Mountain View, CA) ran virtually side by side all afternoon, separated by just 20 seconds at the line — 1:54:24 to 1:54:44. Barber's 106th-fastest women's closing split from mile 12 to the finish held off Yuan Yuan's nearly identical 108th-fastest effort. Behind them, Naomi Galvan (México D.F.) rounded out the top five in 1:58:05, while the field stretched deep into the afternoon with Song Qing Yang Zhong, Ann Vanderghinste (racing in from Graz), and Emily LeVan all finishing within 25 minutes of the winner.
