The F55-59 group at the Two Cities Marathon — nine women running a flat, point-to-point course along the Fresno/Clovis border — produced a compelling front-of-field story. The winner, a 57-year-old running anonymously, was the class of the group from start to finish, navigating a steady climb through the women's standings that took her from 36th among women at the first checkpoint all the way to 33rd by the end. Her 3:58:50 — a 9:07/mi clip — was the only sub-four-hour performance in the group and a clear statement on a course built for fast times.

Behind her, the race for 2nd and 3rd was genuinely compelling. The second Anonymous finisher (age 59) went out with some early pop, posting the 35th-fastest women's split on the opening 1M–10K stretch, but gradually ceded ground in the women's field as the race wore on, finishing in 4:09:58. Flora Eppler of Turlock took a different approach — patient and progressive, climbing steadily from 52nd among women at mile one all the way to 43rd at the finish. Her reward: the 34th-fastest women's split on the final 25.2M–Finish segment, a strong close that landed her 3rd in 4:11:46, just 1:48 behind second place.

Laurie Fernandez (4th, 4:44:37) and Michelle Pina (5th, 4:50:26) both showed early energy — each posting solid splits in the opening 10K — but faded as the miles accumulated, finishing 10:51 and 11:05 per mile respectively. Agnes Sheldon (6th, 4:58:16), Jennifer Luong (7th, 5:00:50), Carmen Topete (8th, 5:14:08), and Tiffany Pierce (9th, 5:44:55) rounded out the nine, with Pierce completing the course in 5:44:55 on a day when every finisher earned their Boston Qualifier consideration on one of California's flattest marathon routes.
