F30-34: Maureen Finn edges out a hard-fought women's podium at Run the Parkway

• Jessy Herring led the women's field early but faded from 1st to 5th among women across the back half — Stratton passed her to claim 2nd in F30-34.

Maureen Finn didn't lead wire-to-wire — she was sitting 2nd among women through the first checkpoint at Mile 4, then briefly seized the top spot, before settling back into 2nd among women for the final stretch. But in F30-34 specifically, she was never seriously threatened after the midpoint, and her 6:59/mi average held up as the class of the age group. Her 2nd-fastest women's split on the Mile 4–to–Mile 10 stretch was the engine of her victory.

The most dramatic arc belonged to Jessy Herring, who was running as the fastest woman in the entire field through Mile 4 before the race turned on her. She slipped to 2nd among women, then 5th, and couldn't recover — finishing 3rd in F30-34 in 2:24:19. Annie Stratton ran the opposite trajectory, quietly moving from 4th to 3rd among women and locking up 2nd in F30-34 with a 7:05/mi effort and the 3rd-fastest women's split from Mile 10 to Mile 15.6.

Further back, Julianne Curtis gave the closing miles of this race the most attention. She entered the final segment as 13th among women and finished 10th — her 4th-fastest women's split from Mile 16 to the line was a genuine late surge, good enough for 5th in F30-34 at 2:34:09. Rachel Jones (4th, 2:31:55) was steady throughout, holding 8th among women from Mile 4 all the way to the finish line.
