He sat 4th among men through the opening miles and held that position deep into the race before settling 7th among men at the finish — a composed, front-loaded effort that left the rest of the M20-24 field well behind. At 6:39 per mile for 20 miles on a warm November day in Folsom, the 21-year-old Sacramento native was in a different race entirely.

The real drama in the group played out in the middle of the pack. Anthony Leong produced one of the more puzzling performances of the day: the 2nd-fastest split in the field on the short Mile 15.6-to-Mile 16 segment suggests a genuine burst of speed, yet his overall trajectory told a different story — he slid steadily back through the men's field across all five checkpoints, ultimately finishing 3rd in the group at 3:29:41. Rami Maita, meanwhile, moved the opposite direction, climbing from 110th to 94th among men across the race and closing with the 86th-fastest Mile 16-to-Finish split in the field to claim 2nd in 2:47:23.

Kelvin Vue (3:47:46) and Ethan Adame (4:07:01) rounded out the middle finishers, with Adame showing a notable fade — moving from 174th to 287th among men across the checkpoints. Neo Young closed out the group in 4:18:56, completing a six-man field that spanned more than two hours from wire to wire.
