Ramirez, 77, held second in 55:02 (17:43/mi), a solid effort that kept a comfortable cushion over the back half of the field.

The real drama unfolded behind them. Patricia Felton, 78, and Adelita Paglinawan, 76, waged a close battle all the way to the line. Felton crossed in 1:14:56 to claim third, with Paglinawan finishing just 26 seconds later in 1:15:22 — tight enough to keep both athletes working hard through the finish. In a four-person field, every place matters, and those 26 seconds were hard-earned.
