Starting the day 11th among women, she ticked off positions steadily through the first half, cracking the top 10 by the 15K mark and ultimately finishing 7th among all women. Her 7:10/mi average, sustained through warm and windy conditions, was the engine behind it all. The 10K–15K segment was a particular statement: her split there ranked 7th fastest among all women in the field.

Jessica Rosetti ran a different kind of race — patient and calculating. She sat mid-pack through most of the course, drifting as far back as 17th among women at the 25K checkpoint before unleashing a closing surge that ranked 10th fastest among all women from 25.2 miles to the finish. That late charge was enough to claim 2nd in F40-44 at 3:10:30, but Barkley's lead was simply too large to overcome.

Liz Miller (3:20:29) and Emily Capps (3:22:01) rounded out the top four, separated by just 92 seconds. Both showed early speed — Miller's 5K–10K split ranked 16th fastest among women, Capps's 21st — but neither could sustain that tempo through the back half. Melissa Farley (3:23:41) was the quiet mover of the group, working her way up from 51st among women at the 5K mark to 44th by the finish, with the 35th-fastest women's split on the 30K–35K stretch helping her seal 5th in F40-44.
