The gap back to second place Jonathan De Leon was 27 minutes and 42 seconds, which tells you everything about how Presnell separated himself from the rest of the M0-19 field.

De Leon, just 15 years old out of Alameda, earned second in 1:38:06 and showed genuine closing strength, climbing from 243rd to 194th among men over the final stretch. That's a meaningful move in a large field, and it helped him hold off Figueroa comfortably. Alexis Figueroa of Santa Rosa finished third in 1:42:00 at a 7:47/mi clip, while Owen Smith (4th, 1:44:00) offers the most instructive contrast: Smith actually held a higher men's position than Figueroa through 7 miles, but his 349th-fastest closing split — against Figueroa's 190th — tells the story of who ran the stronger second half.

Camden Beaver rounded out the top five in 1:47:50, followed by Zhenhao Qi in 1:49:37.
