She sat 4th among all women at the 7-mile mark and never budged from that spot, closing with the 5th-fastest women's split on the back half to finish in 1:22:10 at a 6:16/mi clip. That's a 2:17 cushion over second place — comfortable, earned, and never really in doubt.
