The conditions on December 9th in Huntsville were no gift — 70°F with 76% humidity and a 17 mph wind is a legitimate challenge at any age, let alone at 82. Cheney's 3:37:31 finish, averaging 16:36 per mile, reflects a man who managed the effort intelligently and got to the line.
