Racing in 41°F with light rain and 85% humidity, Leone ran a pace that none of her competitors came close to matching.

Behind her, Nadine Suto claimed 2nd in 33:46 (10:52/mi), with Dee Martinez rounding out the podium in 34:32 (11:07/mi) — 46 seconds further back. Those two held a comfortable cushion over the cluster that formed just behind them, where the real racing happened.
