Running at 5:38 per mile on a breezy 56°F London morning, he crossed in 2:27:53 — a margin of nearly 35 minutes over the field. His 5K→10K split was the fastest of anyone in the 18-39 age group, a sign he went out hard and simply never looked back.

Behind him, Kester Antiquina was equally authoritative in second place. He too held 2nd at every single checkpoint, finishing in 3:02:36 at 6:58 per mile. The real drama was further back, where Anthony Delorenzo and Fernando Santonja Renedo were quietly threading their way through the field. Delorenzo moved from 9th at the 5K mark all the way to 5th by the finish, logging the 3rd-fastest 30K→35K split in the age group along the way. Santonja Renedo was even more aggressive in his progression — starting 13th and climbing to 6th, with a top-five split on the 20K→Half segment fuelling his charge.

The battle for 5th through 7th was the afternoon's most compelling subplot. Andrii Kogut (3:30:01), Jacopo Moscioni (3:30:28), and Kirsty Longman (3:30:48) were separated by just 47 seconds across three finishers — all of them running within a hair of the 8:02/mi mark. In a 39-finisher age group, that kind of convergence over 26.2 miles is genuinely remarkable. Kogut edged it, but only just.
