Novella Light, 18, from Steamboat Springs, CO, put together the most complete race in this group. She was already moving by the KT 22→Siberia stretch — posting the 4th-fastest women's split there — and kept climbing the overall women's standings from 6th at the opening checkpoint all the way to 4th by the finish. At high elevation, where the course tops out near 8,820 feet and thinner air can expose any weakness in pacing judgment, Light's steady progression spoke for itself. Her 2:18:28 was never seriously threatened.

Adah Chapman, 19, out of Gunnison, CO, was the race's most consistent mover. She entered the women's field at 13th and never stopped climbing, reaching 7th by the finish — a rise built on the 5th-fastest women's split on the Siberia→High Camp leg. Her 2:22:41 puts her 4:13 behind Light, a gap that reflects a real difference in pace across the full course.

The most dramatic individual arc belonged to Sidney McIntosh, 19, of Truckee, CA. She faded from 10th among women at the opening checkpoint all the way back to 23rd by High Camp — and then uncorked the 3rd-fastest women's closing split to recover to 13th overall and 3rd in F10-19 in 2:33:38. It's worth noting that McIntosh finished 2nd among all women here in 2025 in 1:47:52, making today's outing a very different kind of race for her. Madeline Grossman, 19, of Grand Junction, CO, rounded out the field in 2:40:11, posting the 17th-fastest women's split on that same closing segment and finishing 21st among women.
