Following & private accounts

How following works and how to control who can follow you.

Following an athlete

Open an athlete's profile and select Follow. Once you follow someone, their followers-only activities appear in your Feed. You can unfollow at any time from their profile or your Connections page.

Private accounts & follow requests

New accounts on MyRace are private by default. When your account is private, a follow becomes a request that you approve before that person can see your followers-only activities. You'll get a notification for each request with Accept and Ignore buttons, and you can also review them under the Requests tab on your Connections page.

Prefer to let anyone follow you without approval? Turn off Private account in Settings → Privacy.

Managing your connections

Your Connections page has three tabs — Following, Followers, and Requests. From there you can approve or ignore requests, remove followers, unfollow, mute, or block. Your follower and following counts appear on your profile.

What followers can see

Followers can see activities you've set to Followers or Everyone. They cannot see activities set to Only You. Learn more in Activity visibility.
