Ryder Jay of Littleton, CO came into the final stretch of the Broken Arrow 10K in second place among the boys and left it as the winner. The decisive move came on the Snow King→Finish segment, where Jay posted the fastest closing split in the U-20 field — enough to overtake and hold off Tyson Gubler by 13 seconds. Running at 6,300–8,000 feet above sea level, where the air carries measurably less oxygen, a 7:49/mi average pace is a genuine statement of fitness, and Jay delivered it when it counted most.

Gubler, also 18 and from Riverton, UT, was right there until the line. He held the second-fastest closing split among the boys — a mirror of Jay's surge, just not quite enough. His 48:45 is a strong result in its own right, and the 13-second margin between them reflects how closely matched these two were across the whole course. Enzo Giampaolo of Lewiston, ME ran a composed race to claim third in 52:13, though he slipped back one spot on the final segment after sitting fourth through much of the course.

Behind the podium, Haines Gauzens of Scottsdale, AZ made the most notable move in the back half of the field — climbing from 10th to 8th among the boys on that same closing segment to finish 5th in 59:46. Lincoln Gage, Pierce Bolen, Connor Atkins, and Bryan Garcia rounded out the nine-man field, with Garcia completing the high-altitude 10K in 1:18:04 — a finish that, at nearly 8,000 feet, is no small thing.
